
Coach Jonathan Santa Maria
Coach Jonathan is a black belt under Master Eddie Bravo with over 20 years of experience in combat sports. A former professional MMA fighter, he trained under Mark Muñoz, Ryan Gonzales, and the Reign MMA team, as well as Hector Ramirez at Dogpound MMA. His boxing foundation was built under the guidance of respected coach Danny Zamora.
In addition to being a seasoned competitor, Coach Jonathan brings over two decades of coaching experience across Jiu Jitsu, wrestling, and striking. He is the founder of Tsunami Jiu Jitsu and a former head coach of the Tsunami Wrestling program with Beat the Streets Los Angeles. He currently serves as head coach of the Santa Fe High School women’s wrestling team and assistant head coach for the varsity boys team.
With a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, he blends mental resilience with physical discipline in every training session. As a father and mentor, he believes in building strong individuals both on and off the mat.
